About Me
Learn More About Me
I am a professional instructor with a decade of experience in education. My career has been spent developing and implementing effective programs, mentoring and coaching learners, and leading teams to success. As a team leader, I have honed my multitasking skills, ensuring that projects are completed on time and to the highest standards. I possess a strong emotional intelligence, which allows me to connect with stakeholders on a deeper level and create a positive and engaging learning environment. I am also an accomplished public speaker, having delivered regular presentations to diverse groups of students, parents, and colleagues. Now my goal is to bring my expertise and passion to a fast-paced, creatively challenging work environment where I can continue to grow both personally and professionally.
My Skills
Multitasking
Throughout my career, I have often been required to multitask and manage a wide range of responsibilities simultaneously. As a hybrid worker, I must attend to the needs of individual learners, manage group dynamics, develop and deliver programs, evaluate assessments, communicate with stakeholders, and collaborate with colleagues. As a result, I have developed the ability to quickly shift between tasks and prioritize my workload.
Moreover, I have cultivated my mental flexibility in order to switch between different types of tasks, such as giving a presentation, fielding questions, collecting data, and responding to emails. I have the ability to adapt to changing circumstances, think on my feet, and respond quickly and effectively to unforeseen events.
Multitasking is an important skill that I bring to any organization in order to increase productivity, help employees meet deadlines, improve problem-solving skills, and increase efficiency. I thrive in fast-paced collaborative environments.
Emotional Intelligence
Building strong relationships with learners and colleagues is one of my strongest attributes. I have fostered the ability to understand stakeholders' needs, emotions, and motivations, and create a supportive and positive learning environment.
Communicating effectively with students, colleagues, and parents requires strong emotional intelligence. As an instructor, mentor, coach, and leader I am able to read body language, tone of voice, and other nonverbal cues to accurately interpret and respond to others' emotions and empathize with their experiences and perspectives in a supportive and constructive way.
My emotional intelligence also allows me to be self-aware and able to manage my own emotions effectively. I am able to regulate my emotions and respond to challenging situations with patience and understanding.
My strong emotional intelligence is an asset to any team because it allows me to effectively communicate, lead, manage conflicts, collaborate, provide excellent customer service, and adapt to changing circumstances. It is a valuable trait that can enhance both individual and organizational success.
Public Speaking & Presenting
As an instructor, I spend a significant portion of my time in front of large groups, delivering lectures, leading discussions, and facilitating group activities. This experience has advanced my public speaking and presentation skills while refining my ability to communicate ideas effectively.
Throughout my career, I have had to adapt my teaching style to meet the needs of learners. Communicating complex ideas in a clear and concise manner and adjusting tone and delivery to engage and motivate have been skills that are paramount to my success.
I have employed a variety of techniques to maintain engagement and interest in the subject matter. These public speaking techniques include humor, storytelling, and questioning.
My public speaking and presentation skills would be of great value to any company because they are essential for leadership, sales and marketing, training and development, networking, and crisis management.
